Full-Time Pastry Baker

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Baker to join our
small, dynamic kitchen. In this role, you will be responsible for producing
high-quality laminated pastries, desserts and baked goods. You will
have a creative flair and willing to work with seasonal ingredients,
maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and ensure consistency in
taste and presentation. If you have a love for patisserie and a keen eye

A focus on seasonal produce, working with brilliant local suppliers who
support low intervention and regenerative farming practices, allows for
creativity in our daily craft, something which is both nurtured and
encouraged here at Sourdough Hub.
We take great pride in producing everything we sell in-house and are
looking for a dedicated baker with the same level of care to join our fast-
growing team.
Responsibilities
● Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods, pastries and
desserts.
● Ensure all pastry items are made on time and to the highest quality, in
line with service demands.
● Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pastry section,
including equipment and storage areas.
● Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in
compliance with health regulations.
● Monitor ingredient inventory for the pastry section and communicate
needs for ordering or restocking.
● Train and mentor apprentices as needed.
● Creative freedom to develop seasonal artisan baked goods,
Skills
● Strong proficiency in pastry and viennoiserie techniques, including
baking, chocolate work and sugar art.
● Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
● Experience working in a high-end or high-volume pastry kitchen is
highly desirable.
● Excellent attention to detail and artistic presentation skills.
● Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks,
simultaneously.
● Organised, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards.
